My example of explain writing

So today we had to do our writing test. I got 30 points  so that means i'm 4b. I'm at my writing stage for my age.
for me it was challenging test I had to try remember what i was planing I had to try stay focus because last term i was a 3a so I was reading at a 11yr to 12yr but this term I moved up to 4b and that's writing at a 12yr and that's what i should be writing at. All i needed to step up on was my SNL which means  structure and language.

|  Marae are places special to maori because it's their turangawaewae. In general you will see a marae
will always have a whare tupuna, wharekai,  and a toilet area. These are very important to maori,
especially when they have to cater for tangihanga and the many events held at our marae. For example
our marae is called Te Kotahitanga and all of our families, our local community and many other
communities from all over the country we come together for meetings,church,weddings,birthdays,and
also sad occasions. 

A marae is a special place for our community a marae is not only used for its also used to bring

family in for birthdays, weddings, whakamoemiti, and also sad occasions. Not all maraes have carvings,
each carving has a story behind it the story follows threw your whakapapa and your ansistrenster.
When you have tangis A tangi is the most important priority on a marae. A tangi is special towards people
because that will be the last time and minute you spend with that person that has passed on, when you
have a tangi you get porwiri in to take the tapu off you, when you get into the whare you have to go and
give the person that has died a hongi, the reason why you have to give the person that has died a hongi
is because you breath in the ihu that God has given you, it is not tapu if you don't hongi the person that
has passed on  

There are a lot of storylines. Everyone Should have a story behind their  marae because there marae
holds all there korero inside their walls ,like my family we don't have carvings in our marae but there
have been many stories told. all have loved meeting in the kitchen because me and all my cuzzens
are in the cuboard grabbing all the lollies and getting all the sea food were even in the marae having
whakamoemiti after whakamoemiti all the kids have to go outside and play while we're outside all the
papas and nans are in the kitchen having a cuppa and some biscuts what I mean about a whakamoemiti
But I got a few can go and say good day and then go have another play,We can play outside.

The reason why us maoris have hangis is because when you have a hangi you can cook more than

100 at the same time so it's the fastest food to cook in ground. A hangi is what maori eat everyday

after church or a burial.  Food is important to maoris.Did you know that hangi are one of the main foods that
maori eat after a tangi. Hangi is our cultural meal to whaka noa or take the tapu off by all eating together.

For our whakamoemiti we all say our karakia when having powhiri,so when we all have our
whakamoemiti the band comes in also  kaumatua and kaumatua kuia comes in as well.

When me and all my family help and share the love and that's how we make connections and also take
care of each other to make the load lighter.

Finally, the marae is seen as a very special place to our community because it is place to share, care and
learn from each other in many different ways.

When they started doing there speeches the people that did it first was the people
who just had to pick a topic and just talk about it off their head they were confident
nerves and they had stage fright  but they were good they would be way better the
n me if that was me most of them got 1 or 2 bells 1 bells means that you have been

Spiders are more dangerous than sharks

Only the most dangerous spiders are the ones that do leave in New zealand like why do they
have to be in New zealand.There are some that are useful and some are not, there is one called
a red back spider there venom is so deadly you can die srataway unlike other spiders like white
tails wood spiders daddy long legs and more other spiders.

Sharks

Sharks can be known to be the most dangerous fish in the sea.They can grow up to 25 feet long
they are so fast  you wouldn't even have a chance swimming away from them, there teeth is so
big they can bit into your skin some of  your head.so your head is spinning but the only way is
when they feel movement,that's when they no that dinner is served. there are known to be all
cines of sharks like tiger sharks hammerhead sharks great white sharks and the biggest shark
that is extinct the megalodon.

Spiders

Spiders venom is the only way to die.you may think that sharks are more dangerous than spiders
but your rong how because sharks can leave without water spiders and humans can leave without
ear and because sharks leave out 25 feet out but spiders can leave anywhere because there is more
land than water and I know because I like to watch these things on youtube like the stuff I watch is this
man likes spiders as he's pets

He has a tranacherla and siders like that he likes to feed them rats it's so satisfying watching a

rat dying there big to.

Sharks

Did you know that if you are being eaten from a shark then what you do is stick your finger in the
eye and rip it out then the shark won't eat you because it's slowly dying because they can't leave
without there eye I watch that on a movie to I like to watch stuff like diving I like to dive with my
family for some seafood I seen this stingray and when I seen it I told my uncle that I like to go to
land because that's a shark's favorite food to eat so that was the end of my diving.

“You better hurry up, before I come in there and clip those ears” screamed mum.  My brother’s were driving us nuts! How long does it take for someone to get ready….I mean really?  We we’re waiting for Manuera and Raniera to get ready. Then they couldn’t even find their shoes. Instead of getting ready when everyone else was, they decided to play on their devices.  We were rushing. We had to get over to Jimmy Jack’s before 8pm. It was almost 8, so we weren’t going to make it. My sister Takutai was heading back to Napier.

  

It  took forever to get there so I went to sleep.  I woke up just as we got to the junction where you turn to Kerikeri or Paihia.m mum brote 5 of the 100 dollar ribs she brought me one for myself because  they don't want me to eat all of there's.

After that I was so full I couldn't even stand up I said my mum was like hurry up before I leave your but behind… I was like noooooooooo don't leave me so she said hurry then nah that's what happens when you eat to much I said no that's what happens when you give your sun to much to eat ay and she said no your the one who wanted that and I said yea but still I had one 100 dollar rib to myself had ice cream a large drink and man far that was like 976 dollars far that's a lot of money just for dinner but it was worth it especially when you have to wait for like I think it was 4 family’s just to get a table but that was so worth it I was as full as a pig and I feel like I just put on like 5 kgs but I put on  like 3 and lost it when I was at rugby and league when I got home I had went to sleep and that's the end of my fun holidays.

on friday me and all of my rugby team went to whangara paintballing. It was so fun we were told all of the rules and we got told that when we are playing we couldn't take our masks off, and on round one I got shot by mahi and kura man. mahi shot me in the arm and kura shot me in the eye but lukey I had my mask on. far did you no that when she got my eye I would of have to go straight to hospital, cause just before we all seen a pitcher on the wall and he had a big black eye and man that look yuck. you would not like to have that. but it seems that had my mask on. and when I got shot in the eye I sore the bullet coming towards me, and when I went to wipe my mask it was so blurry, so when we all run out of bullets you all have to put your hand up and when you put your hand up they are not allowed to shoot them. when I first got shot it wasn't that bad but when I got shot the second that hurt really bad so I clicked it back and just going crazy. and I got swad in the leg, and matt was so funny he got kingston in the mouth. cause their is like 4 lines in thir that is why kingston got some in his mouth. and he said it was yuck I would be like that is yuck if that when in my mouth. so we all got to shoot 100 bullets but on the last 2 games we all got to shoot 200 that must of been a lot of money but it was so hard work but that was the best game I ever played and that was my first time in my life now I always wanted to go paintballing, so that was like my frist time I ever went there but i’m like so lucky cause i’m going to pai hair and go paintballing out and in whangara we had to get all our team over the brege and the dame thing about it one side had a low ground and the other side was, high but the won in pai hear you have to


go and grabbe 3 flaggs and bring them back to your team's side but my frist time going paintballing out there so i’m so excited and can’t wait for my dad’s birthday and I don’t no if I will go, but ya I might go cause man who will not go with there dad for their birthday I will just for letting me go paintballing and thanks to matt and our sponsor marty for making all of our rugby team so happy we all had to do a haka for. marty and far man that really hurt my throat when I stood up and did a haka but it was good we all had a good time with the bros and a was excited to go home and talk to my mum and dad what i did at paniballing.

Last sunday we had rugby league out in whangarei we virst brongkos that was from whangare
i when I saw them I thought that I was going to be out run but I can catch them and
they had some fit people to and some big people they were so big they almost bould
over kohatu and he gave him a saw arm so he had to sub and we still won without him
but thats rats that he was on the side and not in playing the game with all of the boys we won
because we were communicating with one another and we had all the fast people like
Mason little pump/trial Sonny me Tangere Freedom and there's more but there's to
o much people that's playing for us but I dont no all of them because I Quite because I
was not fit anafe but then mat wanted me to come back and play for the te puna o hokianga and
I in my head I said why  did I leave in the frist place this is fun and we won at whangarei.
